I went to Charleston a last weekend for my girlfriend Jennie’s bachelorette party for a long weekend getaway. There were supposed to be 6 girls on the trip but a few couldn’t make it because of cancelled flights. The 3 of us that made it stayed in an Airbnb right off King Street downtown, it was a great location!

Frosè, the mint leaf was a great touch
After putting out bags at the house we walked around King Street. We needed up at The Skinny Dip for their famous frosè and sat on the patio. The frosè was delicious, I’m pretty sure I could have drank an entire pitcher of it! The Skinny Dip store was so cute, they had so many great finds!
After our afternoon frosè we headed down by the water to the famous pineapple fountain. There must have been prom that night because we saw a bunch of people dressed up taking pictures down there. After spending 30 minutes wondering around the park we headed to The Vendue Rooftop for a bite to eat and a cocktail. The view was really great, especially as the sun was setting. But I have to be honest, the service there wasn’t that great, it took over an hour and half to get our food. After dinner and a few drinks we headed back to our apartment.
(morning coffee from The Skinny Dip, how fun are these cups!)
I’m naturally and early bird and have a hard time sleeping in but it’s always worse on vacations! Saturday morning I woke up around 7:30 and couldn’t go back to sleep. I put on my tennis shoes and went for a short run. I ran straight down King Street to the water (down the most dreamy street with the most beautiful houses) then back.
We grabbed brunch Another Broken Egg Cafe. (they have amazing mimosa pitchers) That afternoon we went on a carriage ride around downtown and through the historical district. I’ve bene to Charleston two other times but this was my first time going on the carriage ride! I really enjoyed seeing the for a new perspective and learning some of the history.
After that we had a nice dinner at Pooch Porch then hit the town. By hit the town, we didn’t end up doing anything too wild because we are too old for that! ha, and I can’t spill all the beans! 😉
Sunday morning we tried to go to brunch but didn’t get there right when the restaurant opened and there was a 45 minute wait! We opted out of waiting and got avocado toast at a little coffee shop! Jennie’s flight was earlier and she left us around 11:30. Her other girlfriend and I had a nice romantic day together wondering around Charleston and skipping rosè along the way! We even went back to The Skinny Dip for another glass!
All in all, the trip was really fun and relaxing! We had the best weather and couldn’t have asked for anything more! I have a few outfits to share and it’s making me so excited for the warm spring weather!
